I grew up in Wichita, KS attending the Westlink congregation my entire at-home years.  My experience
and commitment is of and to spiritual development in the state of Kansas.

I attended Oklahoma Christian University graduating in 1990 with a degree in Youth Ministry.  In 1998, I
received a Master's Degree in Ministry, also from OC.

Following my undergrad work, I served as a minister with Emporia Ave. (Wichita) from 1989-1993;
Clinton (Oklahoma) from 1993-1996; Sulphur Springs (Texas) from 1996-1999; and Salina (Kansas)
from 1999-Present.

Besides work with SMC, I also have opportunity to assist several local and state-wide Youth Ministry
efforts in Kansas such as the Wichita State Lock-in (each February) and the Kansas Youth Festival
(each November/December).

It is my pleasure to interact with several area congregations involved with
Leadership Training for
Christ
as I am able to serve on the Board of Directors for the Heart of America Convention that meets
each Easter weekend in Kansas City (HOALTC.org).

My wife Julie and I are blessed with two children, Sydnee and Nathan.

Last August (2006) I began work on a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Friends University in
Wichita.  This work is scheduled to complete in June of 2008.  I anticipate this training to enhance the
quality and practicality of ministry that I am able to offer to families in this area.

In the area of "for what it's worth," I am loyally committed to Kansas sports (both Wildcats & Jayhawks--if
that's possible?) as well as to the Royals and Chiefs.  Obviously you can imagine that I know a thing or
two about suffering and patience.  My music of choice is anything by U2 and I don't typically listen to
country.

I grew up going to SMC as a camper for 9 years and then serving on staff for several sessions in the
1990's & early 2000's before beginning to serve as a director for the last several years.
