the success of 2nd session.  Their involvement includes sending several
students that serve on staff during our week as well as sending some of their
performing groups for evening shows.  Students can take advantage of this time
to learn more about the possibility of their attending a Christian School for their
collegiate years.

An annual highlight of 2nd session is the Friday night banquet.  This is a
themed-oriented dinner complete with decorations and activities.  This year's
banquet theme is:  'The Olympics'.  Students are invited to come in character
for the evening.

Tying in with this theme (ever so loosely), our Bible Classes, Devotionals,
and Evening Lessons will focus on sports analogies and metaphors from the
Bible as we relate these passages to the overall theme of 'Running the Race'.

Also along these lines, 2nd session is famous for great, energetic singing,
inventive Bible Classes, and inspiring lakeside evening devotionals illuminated

Counselors and Co-Counselors

At this time, the staff for 2nd session is still being formed.  Already we do
have about 40 planning to be with us.  We expect to have a staff of about 50
or so.

Veteran 2nd session campers will recognize many of our staff members that
just can't stay away year after year!  We look forward to the influence of
several new staff members joining the 2nd session family this year as well.

Students & parents are free to contact Bruce with questions about our staff.
We make it a priority to involve as many staff members from the represented
congregations at 2nd session.

You'll find many local ministers and youth ministers spending a week with us.
A key component to the success of 2nd session is the annual presence of
Richard Foster (Stafford) who graciously serves as a co-director.  In Bruce's
estimation, Richard is the preeminent youth minister that the state of
Kansas has ever boasted.
